How long will the extension hair last?If you take good care of your extensions they can last about 9-12 months.
-
How often will I have to get my extensions moved up?Expect to be in the salon about every 8-10 weeks, depending on how fast your hair grows and how our schedules align.
-
Do I have to use any special products at home?YES! Please don’t use any products with Sulfates, parabens or silicone up near the extension bonds (shampoo and conditioner). It is ok to use oil or light silicone on the midlengths/ends of the hair. I generally recommend using a light leave-in conditioner or spray detangler on the extension hair.
-
Is there anything I should avoid besides sulfates?YES! Sunscreen. This will turn blonde hair a peach or pink hue and is usually impossible to remove. Always wear the hair up for fun in the sun! Also, cover the extensions from chlorine, salt water, and spray tans. In fact, if you swim a lot or are taking an extended vacation, you may want to consider taking your extensions out for your trip.

What are the other things I should know about maintaining my extension hair at home?Great question! There are a few things that are critical to the success of your hair extension experience: -brush, brush, brush daily. Support the extensions at the scalp while brushing -sleep with your hair in a low braid/s or a high topknot. Never sleep on wet extension hair -always blowdry your extension hair -deep condition regularly and only use the professional products we've talked about -when treated gently and with care your extensions will stay in great shape for up to 12 months!
